Its been forever since I logged in...forgot my password.  Seeing as how Im sure Shane is my only reader, this is for u :)

Makensey turns 14   

 We went to see the Twilight movie marathon ! I messed up and didnt go early so we had front row seat...not my favorite, but it was fun !!

 

  

Emaley turns 13 !

Took her to dinner and a movie...

 ...then we had a party at a laser tag place, I even let her invite BOYS !!

I guess the boy next to her has a crush on her...OMG !!

...and the New Year begins!!

Happy New Year!! I for one am going to make the best of 2009...

I am going to try my best to find my JOY again! I use to be such a happy, smiling person, and I miss ME!!

After work,

the girls and I had dinner at Ruby Tuesdays on Mill ave....
by my work. We stopped on the way home and got lots of movies, sparkling cider, hats, poppers and decorations.

At 11:45pm, we filled our glasses, put hats on and blew our noise makers!! HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

The girls had fun popping the confettie poppers...and Copper thought we were all crazy, and hid from all the maddness.

We watched the ball drop on TV...

...and I told the girls to make a wish

as we toasted to the new year!!

Emaley blew her tooters!!


...Makensey was feeling a little DRUNK off the sparklin Apple Grape Cider!!

Even Copper had to get dressed up!!

It was a fun night!!

Down through the chimney...

Good OLD ST.NICK...what would we do without him!! Copper got a bone, and even though its as big as he is, a week later, its a few bites from being gone!!

Makensey and Emaley opened presents with smiles and thank you's...Emaley even gave me a kiss for EVERY gift opened!! I guess to make up for trying to wake me up at 4:50am....then every half hour after that, until finally I gave in at 7:30am and sat and watched as the girls opened their gifts.

Later, after the girls were gone, I met a freind for movies and dinner. We saw Four Christmases....too funny!! I laughed all the way through, and oh boy, I love a good laugh!!

By far my favorite Holiday of the year!! I love dressing up and its been so much fun dressing my girls up. I started out making our outfits and have become a little lazy, yet I do always add to the costumes...So this year,

Emaley was the Queen of Hearts

and Makensey was Madonna.

Super cute, as you can see. We met LuAnne and Hillary, who was a Punky Pirate, and TrickORTreated in her neighborhood. A few friends from work came with us too. I dressed up as a Pirate at work....with my Gimp leg adding to my attire of the stiff legged Pirate...GRrrrr:)

...and then they GROW up ~

The school Fall Festival was Friday. Emaley had a small chorus performance before hand. Every time they have a school thing going on, it makes me feel like such a mom...reminds me of when I was a child. Saturday we went to see the new HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL, cute movie. Its like Grease when we were kids. Sunday was family dinner. We had sloppy Joe's, veggies, baked beans and chips...the kids love those kinds of meals...you know instead of the typical roast and potatoes. It was Luanne's birthday last Saturday so we sang happy birthday and had brownies,cookies and Loreen made home aid vanilla ice cream......MMMMmmmm.

This week we added a new thing to our nightly routine...

They really liked it, I wrote in my first one at 8 years old. Memories are Forever!!

I had a long day....couldn't sleep last night, Sundays before my girls leave are always hard for me.....finally closed my eyes around 3am...Had to get up at 6 am and Makensey came in my room around 5am to sneak in my bed....

Makensey looked cute as usual, its been so FUN watching her grow up since middle school.....she reminds me of me,....the 80's have come back and she is sooooo 80's, keds, converse,skulls,neon,rubber bracelets, punk rock/grunge neon socks to the knees...LOL, too cute!! Thank goodness Emaley is still my little EmmanieBug!! That is when she's not totally dead set in being stubborn headed.....man oh man,

are my girls ever like me....LOL

What IS it with ME!!

My day started out with the hopes of cleaning my house...lol!!

I even laugh as I type this because of the day I had....

...The Injury

...I swear I have become a klutzy adult!!

...The Crutches that have only given me more pain than the pain in my foot!!

Bruises under my arms...sore neck, shoulders, hands,back, You name it~

...The Wheelchair that I borrowed, thinking "What a great idea, but look closely....Ah, you see it don't you? I get to drag myself with my other foot...lol

Then today I decide I'm going to clean the house....So I get the vacuum and with one arm pushing and the other foot dragging in my wheelchair, I manage to clean the floor....Ah, that felt soooosooo good I tell you!! I haven't been able to do quite a few house chores that really need to be done daily. Boy do my girls have some things to do when they come back Monday....I will surly have to reward them for waiting on me.

Then theirs every ones favorite dog....

Copper...

Small, yet brave....He jumped on my couch and I am really trying to keep him OFF of their, so I stood up to shew him down. As I sat back down...YEP!! I fell, straight down on my tail bone.....oOOOHHHHEYY It was, and still is very painful, even hours later. I don't know, but it sure seems like someone is really trying to get my attention. WELL....you have it!!
